On August 20, Zhang Zhanjie, the Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, presided over a symposium.
To deeply implement the spirit of the Central Political Bureau's meeting and carry out the deployments of the 12th plenary session of the State Council, on August 20, Zheng Zhajie, the director of the National Development and Reform Commission, presided over a seminar to gather opinions and suggestions from private enterprises regarding stabilizing economic operations and promoting effective investments. Five representatives from companies in various sectors, including Qingdao TGOOD Electric, Truking Technology, Yucun Technology, Thunderbird Innovation, and Inner Mongolia ERDOS Resources, participated in the seminar. During the seminar, the company leaders spoke in turn about the current development status of their enterprises and industries, investment prospects, and challenges. There was a general consensus that since the beginning of this year, the Chinese economy has been progressing under multiple external shocks and profound internal structural transformations, exhibiting a development trend of shifting to new momentum and optimizing structure. The market is wide open and filled with opportunities, and there is strong confidence among businesses. Moving forward, they will continue to deepen their focus on core businesses, increase investment layouts, enhance technological innovation, promote employment and income growth, and make greater contributions to driving high-quality development. Additionally, participating enterprises offered suggestions on optimizing investment services, promoting collaborative development between state-owned and private enterprises, regulating market competition order, broadening financing channels, and supporting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. Zheng Zhajie listened attentively to the speeches of the attending companies and responded to their concerns and requests in an interactive manner. He stated that the macro economy is closely linked with micro entities. Private enterprises, which have long been at the forefront of the market and innovation, are sensitively aware of macro policies. Our commitment to regular communication with private enterprises is to better understand their genuine needs and continuously enhance the precision and effectiveness of macro policies. Currently, due to a combination of internal and external factors, several industries and enterprises are facing increasing difficulties. However, the Chinese economy has always developed by overcoming challenges and growing through trials. He hopes that a broad spectrum of private entrepreneurs will stay confident in their development, seize market opportunities during the transition between new and old driving forces, tap into investment potential, actively participate in national major strategies and significant projects, and invest in new areas and paths along the industrial chain. This will help them achieve better development and greater success in market competition. The National Development and Reform Commission will thoroughly implement the spirit of the Central Political Bureau's meeting, follow the deployments of the 12th plenary session of the State Council, fully leverage the effectiveness of existing policies, and timely plan and introduce practical incremental policies. It will collaborate to promote the major projects outlined in the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the construction of the "six networks," solidly advance the "two heavy" constructions and "two new" initiatives, improve the long-term mechanism for private enterprises to participate in national major project construction, further remove hidden barriers, expand scene openness, strengthen factor support, protect legitimate rights and interests, fully stimulate the vitality of private investment, and promote the continuous development of the economy towards new, optimized, and favorable directions. Shen Zhulin, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, as well as major responsible persons from the Office, the Comprehensive Department, the Private Enterprises Bureau, and the Investment Department attended the meeting.
