As Moderna is conducting clinical research on lung cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder cancer using the same platform, this success represents a platform-level valuation reassessment.
Lyon released a research report stating that CANSINOBIO (06185) saw its stock price surge over 50% within half a day, primarily driven by positive results from Moderna's (MRNA.US) Phase III clinical trial of its mRNA cancer vaccine. Moderna's INTerpath-001 Phase III study, involving 1,137 high-risk melanoma patients, achieved the primary and secondary endpoints for recurrence-free survival (RFS) and distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS) with its personalized mRNA cancer vaccine intismeran autogene in combination with pembrolizumab, without any new safety signals. As a result, Moderna's stock price rose by 177%. This marks the first time an mRNA cancer vaccine or personalized neoantigen therapy has achieved positive results in a Phase III clinical trial. Lyon noted that since Moderna is conducting similar platform clinical studies in lung cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder cancer, this success represents a platform-level valuation reassessment. CANSINOBIO is positioned along the same technological path, with its rhabdomyosarcoma project currently in the investigator-initiated trial (IIT) stage, while its glioma project is still awaiting preclinical approval. The groups development route and antigen design are similar to Moderna's, with the main difference being its three-component lipid nanoparticle (LNP) system, which is safer than traditional formulations and may support a stronger cellular immune response.
