Automobile stocks are collectively rebounding. As of the time of writing, Li Auto-W (02015) is up 6.47%, trading at HK$51; Lantu Motors (07489) is up 6.08%, trading at HK$2.965; NIO-SW (09866) is up 5.06%, trading at HK$36.54; and Xpeng Motors-W (09868) is up 5.01%, trading at HK$48.24.
Automobile stocks have collectively rebounded. As of the time of publication, LI AUTO-W (02015) is up 6.47%, trading at HKD 51; VOYAH AUTO (07489) is up 6.08%, trading at HKD 2.965; NIO-SW (09866) is up 5.06%, trading at HKD 36.54; and Xpeng Motors-W (09868) is up 5.01%, trading at HKD 48.24. According to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, July saw 1.043 million cars exported, a 0.6% month-over-month increase and an 81.3% year-over-year increase, marking two consecutive months of exports exceeding 1 million units; in July, the market share of new energy vehicle sales surpassed 60% for the first time. From January to July, national automobile production and sales reached 17.567 million and 17.602 million units respectively, with the year-on-year decline further narrowing compared to the first half of the year. In addition, the 29th Chengdu International Auto Exhibition will be held from August 21 to 30, 2026, at the Western International Expo City in China. Xiangcai Securities has published a research report stating that the Chengdu Auto Show, as the first major A-level car exhibition in the second half of the year, will gather independent brands, luxury brands, mainstream joint venture brands, and new energy vehicle brands, showcasing the latest advancements in the electrification, intelligence, and high-end development of China's automobile industry. The performance of this auto show will largely indicate the market trends for the second half of the year. With the support of new products and technologies, we expect a new wave of consumption in the domestic car market in the second half of the year.
