On August 19, the National Healthcare Security Administration issued a notice on the issuance of the "14th Five-Year Plan for Universal Medical Security." Among the proposals, it emphasizes the vigorous promotion of the development of commercial health insurance. It actively supports commercial health insurance in better playing its role in the multi-level medical security system and improving service assurance levels. It encourages the complementary and differentiated development of commercial insurance and basic health insurance. Focusing on the diverse needs of the public, it supports the commercial insurance sector in enriching product supply. Based on controllable risks and sustainable operations, it actively incorporates new medical technologies, services, drugs, and devices into the coverage of commercial insurance. It promotes the sharing of data and synchronized settlement between basic health insurance and commercial insurance in accordance with laws and regulations, supporting fast claims and direct payments for commercial insurance.
