KONTA CHINA (01312) rose over 13%. As of the time of writing, it is up 10%, priced at HKD 0.033, with a trading volume of HKD 280,600. In terms of news, KONTA CHINA announced that the group expects to incur a consolidated net loss of approximately HKD 67.2 million to HKD 100.7 million in the first half of 2026, compared to a net loss of approximately HKD 321.4 million in the same period of 2025. The announcement stated that the consolidated net loss during the period is mainly due to anticipated impairment losses from the group's fitness business in Singapore, estimated to be between HKD 51 million to HKD 63.1 million. Specifically, the impairment losses include approximately HKD 1.6 million to HKD 2.4 million for properties, plants, and equipment; approximately HKD 9.7 million to HKD 14.6 million for right-of-use assets; approximately HKD 12.8 million to HKD 19.2 million for intangible assets; and approximately HKD 26.9 million for goodwill associated with the Singapore fitness business. The expected decrease in loss is mainly due to the significant loss of approximately HKD 373.6 million incurred in the Taiwan and Singapore fitness businesses in the first half of 2025, which is substantially higher than the anticipated impairment loss of approximately HKD 51 million to HKD 63.1 million in the Singapore fitness business during this period.
