According to reports, AI video platform Shengshu Technology, backed by Alibaba, is considering going public in Hong Kong. The company is working with CICC and CITIC Securities to advance the listing process. Insiders reveal that Shengshu Technology plans to raise over $500 million (HK$3.9 billion), with the listing potentially taking place next year. Shengshu Technology, CICC, and CITIC SEC declined to comment. It is reported that Shengshu Technology was established in March 2023, originating from a Tsinghua University team and is known for developing the video generation model Vidu. The company completed nearly 2 billion RMB in Series B financing in April of this year. This round of financing was led by Alibaba Cloud, with strategic investments from Zhongwang Capital, Jiuan Haitang, TAL Education Group, and other investors. In July, at the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference on the Development of AI Integration Applications Forum, Shengshu Technology founder Zhu Jun released a new generation model aimed at real-time interactive scenariosVidu S1 real-time interaction model. The model supports real-time video calls and voice-controlled video direction; users can not only control the behavior of DIGIHUMAN through voice but also achieve unlimited duration continuous interaction. At the same time, Vidu S1 supports 540P (960x540) HD resolution and a frame rate of 25FPS (up to 42FPS), allowing for the rapid creation of personalized interactive characters based on real people, anime, cute pets, and other starting images and unique voices, providing users with a more natural, smooth, and immersive real-time interaction experience.
