Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited: Renewed the contract of Group CEO Charles Li for three years.

The Hong Kong Stock Exchange announced that the board of directors of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has approved the three-year extension of Group CEO Charles Li, with the term running from March 1, 2027, to February 28, 2030 (inclusive of both start and end dates).
On August 17, HKEX announced that the HKEX Board has approved the renewal of the contract of Group CEO Charles Li for three years, with the term from March 1, 2027, to February 28, 2030 (inclusive of both start and end dates). According to Section 70(1) of the Securities and Futures Ordinance, Ms. Li's appointment has been approved by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. It is reported that Ms. Li joined HKEX in January 2020 and took on the role of Group CEO and Executive Director of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange from March 1, 2024. HKEX Chairman Greg So stated, "I am pleased to announce that the Board has today approved Charles Li's reappointment as Group CEO of HKEX, commencing March next year for a period of three years. Since taking office in early 2024, she has led the team in strategic planning and innovation, committed to building a vibrant and diverse asset ecosystem that connects China with the world and funds with opportunities, ensuring the long-term success of HKEX and reinforcing Hong Kong's position as a leading international financial center." Greg So continued, "Under Charles Li's leadership, HKEX has kept pace with the times and continuously improved, expanding its business layout, optimizing the listing system, enhancing infrastructure and market microstructure, and strengthening the competitiveness of our market. The Board and I look forward to continuing close collaboration with Charles Li and her management team to create a new chapter in the future development of the Hong Kong market and HKEX."
