According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in July, the value added of large-scale industries increased by 4.5% year-on-year in real terms (the growth rate of value added is the actual growth rate excluding price factors).
On August 17, the National Bureau of Statistics disclosed that in July, the added value of industries above designated size grew by 4.5% year-on-year in real terms (the growth rate of added value is the real growth rate after excluding price factors). Month-on-month, the added value of industries above designated size increased by 0.11% in July. From January to July, the added value of industries above designated size grew by 5.3% year-on-year. By the three major categories, in July, the added value of the mining industry decreased by 4.2%, the manufacturing industry increased by 5.5%, and the electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply industry rose by 5.0%. By economic type, in July, the added value of state-controlled enterprises grew by 1.6% year-on-year; joint-stock enterprises increased by 5.0%, foreign and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan-invested enterprises grew by 2.8%; private enterprises rose by 3.7%. By industry, in July, among 41 major categories of industries, 25 industries maintained year-on-year growth in added value. Among them, coal mining and washing industry decreased by 10.8%, oil and gas extraction increased by 6.1%, agricultural and sideline food processing industry grew by 3.8%, wine, beverage, and refined tea manufacturing increased by 2.6%, textile industry grew by 2.3%, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry decreased by 1.2%, non-metallic mineral products industry declined by 3.3%, ferrous metal smelting and rolling industry grew by 0.3%, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling industry decreased by 2.5%, general equipment manufacturing industry increased by 9.5%, special equipment manufacturing industry grew by 12.6%, automobile manufacturing industry increased by 8.7%, manufacturing of railway, ship, aerospace, and other transport equipment grew by 13.6%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing increased by 8.8%, and manufacturing of computers, communications, and other electronic equipment rose by 19.1%. The production and supply of electricity and heat industry grew by 5.3%. By product, in July, among 626 products of industries above designated size, 279 products experienced year-on-year production increases. Among them, steel reached 116.46 million tons, down by 4.1%; cement was 126.71 million tons, down by 11.6%; ten kinds of non-ferrous metals totaled 6.97 million tons, up by 2.5%; ethylene reached 3.48 million tons, up by 0.1%; automobiles totaled 2.529 million units, down by 0.1%, among which new energy vehicles accounted for 1.55 million units, an increase of 29.9%; electrical generation reached 943.9 billion kilowatt-hours, down by 0.1%; crude oil processing volume was 53.11 million tons, down by 15.8%. In July, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises above designated size was 96.9%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.6 percentage points; the value of export delivery by industrial enterprises above designated size reached 1,413.3 billion yuan, a nominal year-on-year increase of 10.4%.
