CSPC PHARMA (01093) rose nearly 4%, and as of the time of publication, it was up 3.86%, priced at HK$9.01, with a transaction volume of HK$340 million. In terms of news, CSPC PHARMA announced last night that it has received a $30 million upfront payment from AstraZeneca under the collaboration, option, and licensing agreement for the development of siRNA therapeutics. The two parties established a strategic research and development collaboration back in July 2026, and the receipt of this upfront payment marks a smooth progression of the partnership, benefiting the overall strategic layout of the group and accelerating the development of the small nucleic acid pipeline. CSPC PHARMA previously issued a profit alert, expecting that in the first half of the year, the company's attributable comprehensive profit will range between approximately HK$5.9 billion and HK$6.2 billion, representing an increase of 131.4% to 141.3% year-on-year. The primary reason is related to the $1.2 billion upfront payment from the licensing agreement with AstraZeneca, of which $840 million will be recognized as licensing revenue in the second quarter of 2026. The company expects that after excluding the impact of licensing revenue, the sales revenue from drug products in the first half of the year will increase by approximately 10% year-on-year.
