As the Chinese consumer market continues to expand and upgrade, there is a growing demand among Chinese consumers for high-quality, cost-effective, and diversified imported goods. Categories such as South Korean beauty products, trendy apparel, snacks, and home lifestyle items have long been popular in cross-border consumption. The negotiation meeting attracted participation from over 200 South Korean consumer goods companies. Following business discussions, JD Worldwide formally signed strategic cooperation agreements with nine South Korean consumer goods companies, covering multiple categories, including fashion, lifestyle, and cosmetics. Through direct cross-border procurement, JD Worldwide will introduce fashionable products from its partner RECLOW and open a self-operated flagship store for them on JD.com. The LLOYD brand, under the Eland Group, will also be directly offered to Chinese consumers via JD's official flagship store. The head of JD Worldwides direct procurement business in South Korea stated that South Korean consumer goods have seen a continuous rise in sales on JD.com due to their outstanding quality and product strength. Building on the previously established logistics corporation in South Korea, the establishment of this procurement entity provides a one-stop cooperative entry point in Seoul, where Korean is spoken, facilitating the entry of more high-quality South Korean consumer goods to Chinese consumers. Korean consumer brands are also optimistic about this cooperation. Kim Seong-jun, representing RECLOW Co., Ltd., stated, For small and medium-sized enterprises, entering the Chinese market solely through the strength of products is not an easy task. JD.coms self-operated model directly procures goods from brands, allowing us to eliminate two major burdens: logistics and settlement, enabling us to focus on the quality of our products. A relevant person from Eland Group also remarked, JD.coms strategy of direct procurement with brands significantly alleviates our operational pressure in the Chinese market. In the future, we aim to offer high-quality products to JDs users at more competitive prices. Leveraging its super supply chain advantages, JD.com is accelerating its global direct procurement layout. According to the latest Fortune Global 500 list for 2026, JD Group has risen to 41st place, making it onto the list for the 11th consecutive year and retaining its status as the top private enterprise in mainland China for three consecutive years. As Chinas largest brand e-commerce platform, JD.com continues to leverage the efficiency of its super supply chain, providing users with a shopping experience characterized by good quality at low prices and offering more efficient and reliable growth opportunities for brands and partners.
