In terms of news, WH GROUP announced Smithfield's mid-term performance for 2026, with sales revenue of USD 7.5 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 0.77%; Smithfields attributable net profit was USD 484 million, a year-on-year increase of 17.48%. As of the end of the first half, WH GROUP indirectly holds 86.9% of Smithfield. It is noteworthy that WH GROUP's original board meeting scheduled for August 11 will be rescheduled to August 28 to consider and approve the unaudited consolidated mid-term results of the company and its subsidiaries for the six months ended June 30, as well as to consider the distribution of an interim dividend (if any).
