BAIC MOTOR (01958): Mercedes-Benz Leasing has reduced its registered capital by a total of 4 billion yuan.
Beijing Automotive (01958) announced that on August 7, 2026 (after trading hours), the company, Mercedes-Benz China, and Mercedes-Benz Leasing entered into an agreement to reduce the registered capital. According to this agreement, the company and Mercedes-Benz China have agreed to reduce their contributions to Mercedes-Benz Leasing in proportion to their respective equity stakes, totaling a reduction of RMB 4 billion in the registered capital of Mercedes-Benz Leasing. Of this amount, Mercedes-Benz Leasing shall return RMB 2.6 billion in cash to Mercedes-Benz China, accounting for 65% of the reduction in registered capital, and return RMB 1.4 billion in cash to the company, accounting for 35% of the reduction, thereby reducing the registered capital of Mercedes-Benz Leasing from approximately RMB 5.0975 billion to RMB 1.0975 billion.

Upon completion of the registered capital reduction, the company's contribution to Mercedes-Benz Leasing will decrease from approximately RMB 1.784 billion to RMB 384 million, while the companys equity stake in Mercedes-Benz Leasing will remain unchanged, still accounting for 35% of the total registered capital of Mercedes-Benz Leasing.
The announcement stated that the reduction of registered capital aims to optimize the capital structure of Mercedes-Benz Leasing and improve capital efficiency. It is expected that upon completion of the capital reduction, capital will be released and returned to the shareholders of Mercedes-Benz Leasing, which could enhance the overall cash flow of the group. The board of directors believes that the reduction of registered capital aligns with the commercial interests of the group and is consistent with the long-term goal of maintaining an efficient capital structure within the group's investment portfolio. These benefits will collectively promote the group's continuous growth and stable development in a fiercely competitive market environment.
