LEADS BIOLABS-B (09887) rose over 3%, reaching a gain of 3.45% at the time of publication, with a share price of HKD 60.05 and a transaction value of HKD 52.6461 million. In news, on August 6, LEADS BIOLABS-B announced that its self-developed PD-L1/4-1BB bispecific antibody oplotasumumab (Weilixin) has completed the safety induction phase assessment in its Phase II clinical study for first-line treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after expert review, successfully entering the expansion phase. This study is led by Professor Zhou Jian, the director of Zhongshan Hospital affiliated with Fudan University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Preliminary data show that oplotasumumab in combination with bevacizumab demonstrates clear and positive efficacy signals in HCC patients, with overall safety and tolerability being good. Oplotasumumab has shown strong efficacy signals and breakthrough therapeutic potential across various tumor types, including extrapulmonary neuroendocrine carcinoma (EP-NEC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), small cell lung cancer (SCLC), and biliary tract cancer (BTC). Its conditional activation design based on the X-bodyTM platform has validated good safety in nearly 800 patients. The recent validation in HCC further solidifies oplotasumumab's safety foundation as a cornerstone therapy in IO2.0 for various tumors.
