HK&S HOTELS (00045) announced its mid-year results for 2026, recording operating revenues of HK$3.534 billion, an increase of 8% year-on-year; the profit attributable to shareholders was HK$23 million, compared to a loss of HK$289 million in the same period last year; earnings per share were HK$0.01.
The group turned a profit in the first half of 2026, with a profit attributable to shareholders reaching HK$23 million, while a loss of HK$289 million was incurred in the first half of 2025. Total revenues, as well as operating profits before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, rose by 20%, mainly benefiting from improved performances in the hotel businesses in Greater China and the United States, the consistent operational performance of two new hotel properties in Europe, along with prudent pricing strategies and strict cost controls. The commercial properties and the Peak Tram, along with retail and other business segments, also continued to provide balanced development and robust recovery capacity for the group.
As we enter the second half of the year, business development shows greater momentum, and clear strategic guidelines help the group flexibly respond to challenges such as geopolitical instability, currency fluctuations, and uneven demand for luxury travel. We will continue to strategically invest in assets, talent, and guest experiences, and, backed by the Peninsula Hotel's enduring reputation as a model of luxury, we will consistently uphold the excellent traditions of our historical heritage, defining luxury for future generations.
