ASCENTAGE (06855) has appointed Dr. Faial Miyara as Chief Business Development Officer and Jim Ziegler as Chief Business Operations Officer.

ASCENTAGE (06855) announced that the company has appointed Dr. Faial Miyara as the Chief Business Officer (CBO), responsible for ASCENTAGE's global business development efforts; and Mr. Jim Ziegler as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), responsible for the commercialization of the companys products in global markets outside the Greater China region. Dr. Miyara and Mr. Ziegler will report directly to Dr. Yang Dajun, the Chairman and CEO of the company. Dr. Miyara has over 20 years of business development experience in the oncology field within global large pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Prior to joining ASCENTAGE, he served as the Chief Business Officer at IO Biotech and was a core member of its executive team; earlier, he held the position of Vice President at Ipsen, where he was fully responsible for global business collaborations in oncology, project search and evaluation, as well as managing relationships with venture capital firms. Dr. Miyara also spent five years at Pfizer, where he co-initiated and established the Pfizer Center for Therapeutic Innovation (CTI) and held several senior R&D positions; subsequently, he worked for five years at ImClone and Eli Lilly, directly involved in the development, optimization, and commercialization of several well-known oncology biologics approved by the U.S. FDA, including Erbitux (cetuximab) and Cyramza (ramucirumab). Dr. Miyara holds a Ph.D. in reproductive biology, molecular biology, and cell biology from Pierre and Marie Curie University (Sorbonne University) in Paris, France, as well as a master's degree in biomedical engineering from Joseph Fourier University Medical School in Grenoble, France. He has consistently focused on scientific innovation, participated in writing chapters of various academic monographs, published numerous papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and is the principal inventor of three independent patents.
