SHANGRI-LA ASIA (00069) announced that it is expected that the group will achieve a consolidated profit attributable to owners from operating activities (excluding non-operating items) of not less than 87 million USD for the six months ending June 30, 2026 (the "period"), representing an increase of not less than 70% compared to the operating profit attributable to owners of 51 million USD for the same period last year.
The expected growth in operating profit attributable to owners for the period is partially driven by positive foreign exchange movements of approximately 15 million USD year-on-year. Excluding the impact of foreign exchange fluctuations, the operating profit attributable to owners for the period is expected to be not less than 81 million USD, an increase of not less than 35% compared to the corresponding operating profit of 60 million USD for the same period last year. This growth and improvement in profit margins are primarily attributed to the group's enhanced operational efficiency and increased revenue per available room (RevPAR) during the period. Additionally, the groups proactive treasury management also contributed to the decrease in interest expenses during the period.
