Shanghai Shen Lian Biomedical Corporation (688098.SH) announced that, according to the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on Veterinary Drug Management" and the "Measures for Management of Approval Numbers for Veterinary Drug Products", the company's Lanzhou branch has been allowed to produce pig pseudorabies live vaccine (strain JS-A1) by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China, and has been issued the approval document for veterinary drug products. This product was jointly developed and applied for by the company in collaboration with the Shanghai Veterinary Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and other units for the prevention of pig pseudorabies. This product is based on the domestically prevalent pig pseudorabies virus variant strain (strain JS-2012), and was obtained by in vitro cell high-temperature passage to weaken the strain and obtain strain JS-A1 (with characteristics of missing genes gE, US2, US9). This strain has a high antigenic matching rate with the currently prevalent domestic variant strains, and can simultaneously resist attacks from both highly potent variant strains of pseudorabies and classic pseudorabies virus strains, addressing the issues of insufficient protection from traditional vaccines, repeated outbreaks of miscarriages in pig farms, and piglet neurological death. At the same time, the use of this product can distinguish between vaccinated pigs and pigs infected with wild viruses, providing technical support for the prevention and control of pseudorabies virus variant strains in China.
