Sources familiar with the matter revealed that the Hong Kong Stock Exchange is also considering extending after-hours trading to capture trading activities in the early hours of the United States market, possibly between 8 p.m. and midnight. They added that the Hong Kong Stock Exchange will still maintain its closing time at 4 p.m. for clearing and settlement purposes.
