In terms of news, TCL ELECTRONICS announced that on July 15, 2026, the company entered into a purchase agreement with sellers (NXTHome, YF Rongye, Core Elite, Union Vast, and Reach Glory). The sellers agreed to sell and the company agreed to purchase the equity of the target company TCL AeroWell (Cayman) Holdings Limited for a total price of HK $5.61 billion, which will be paid in a combination of cash and equity shares. The target group is mainly engaged in the air conditioning system business. Huachuang Securities pointed out that this acquisition is a key milestone in the company's full-category smart terminal layout, establishing air conditioning as an important pillar of the product portfolio and transitioning towards a multi-category smart home platform. In the industry, the global HVAC market is expected to increase from $564.8 billion in 2026 to $1.2 trillion in 2035 (CAGR 8.1%), driven by extreme heat, low penetration rates in emerging markets, and AI energy-saving upgrades leading to industry expansion in the long term; in terms of synergy, air conditioning can leverage the company's global sales network and retail channels to accelerate overseas penetration, unify AI technology platforms to reduce redundant development, and gain scale advantages in key component procurement.
