On the news front, Microport announced that on July 15, 2026, its subsidiary, Suzhou MicroPort Orthopedics (Group) Co., Ltd. (Suzhou MicroPort), signed an intention letter with Beijing Tianzhihang Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (Tianzhihang) (688277.SH), regarding the possible acquisition of the controlling equity of Suzhou MicroPort and Shanghai MicroPort Orthopedic Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (the target company, along with its subsidiaries, the "target group") by Tianzhihang, with the price to be paid in the form of new shares issued by Tianzhihang. As of the date of the intention letter, Suzhou MicroPort held 82.29% of the equity of the target company, which is accounted for as a subsidiary of the company and is the core operating entity for the group's international (non-China) orthopedic business. The target group is mainly engaged in hip and knee joint orthopedic reconstruction business in overseas markets such as the United States, Japan, and Europe. With years of experience in the orthopedic field, the target group focuses on the research, development, production, and sales of high-quality innovative hip and knee joint products that have been fully clinically validated, and has a mature and large-scale overseas sales network. Its representative product, the Intra-Knee joint prosthesis, has accumulated over 20 years of clinical application history, with a 17-year cumulative prosthesis retention rate of 98.8%, and a patient satisfaction rate of 95% according to research published in The Knee journal.
