Apple (AAPL.US) has slightly increased the fee for AppleCare+ service subscriptions.
Apple Inc. (AAPL.US) has slightly raised the fees for AppleCare+ service subscriptions, marking another round of price hikes by the company amid global semiconductor shortages and various industry pressures. The monthly plan prices for AppleCare+ on Mac and iPad have increased by 50 cents, while the annual plan prices have gone up by 5 dollars. This price increase only applies to new users, while existing users will maintain the original pricing. This pricing adjustment continues the trend of constant price hikes by the tech giant. Last month, Apple Inc. raised the prices of iPad, Mac, Vision Pro headsets, HomePod smart speakers, and TV set-top boxes. It is expected that when Apple Inc. launches its new generation of devices in September, they will also raise prices for their most profitable iPhone product line. AppleCare+ provides customer support and helps users with repairs in case of device damage. According to the updated pricing, the monthly price for AppleCare+ service for the new 13-inch MacBook Air has increased from $7.49 to $7.99, while the annual fee has gone up from $74.99 to $79.99. Last year, Apple Inc. introduced AppleCare One service, which is an independent service that provides coverage for up to three devices for just $19.99. As of Wednesday's closing on the US stock market, Apple Inc. closed up 4.01% at $327.50, with a 21% increase in stock price since the beginning of the year. TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the upward trend for Apple Inc. in the second half of the year remains unchanged. He pointed out that Apple Inc.'s stock price previously experienced a pullback due to profit-taking after WWDC26 and news of product price hikes, but it reached new intraday highs in recent market volatility, confirming previous predictions on Apple Inc.'s stock trajectory.
