Fosen Pharmaceuticals (01652) announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Henan Fosen Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd, has received approval from the China National Medical Products Administration for the market application of "Tamsulosin Sustained Release Tablets (Trademark: Yijianping)" developed by the company. The tablets are approved for the symptomatic treatment of hypertension and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
FUSEN PHARM (01652) announced that the "Tamsulosin Hydrochloride Sustained-Release Tablets" (trademark: Yijianping) developed by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Henan FUSEN PHARM Co., Ltd., has been approved by the China National Medical Products Administration for the symptomatic treatment of hypertension and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
The "Tamsulosin Hydrochloride Sustained-Release Tablets" have become a first-line medication for the treatment of mild to moderate hypertension domestically and internationally, as well as a first-line treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia with lower urinary tract symptoms. It has advantages such as rapid onset, long-lasting effects, smoother release, significant effectiveness, convenient administration, and is not affected by age or mild to moderate renal impairment.
Tamsulosin hydrochloride is a selective 1-adrenoceptor antagonist. In the human body, tamsulosin hydrochloride can counteract the prostate contraction caused by phenylephrine (1-adrenergic agonist), which can reduce peripheral vascular resistance to lower blood pressure, and also reduce urethral resistance to relieve symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia and improve urine flow.
