DEKON AGR (02419) rose by more than 6%, with a 6.21% increase to 49.58 Hong Kong dollars and a trading volume of 27.7203 million Hong Kong dollars as of press time. On the news front, the achievement of "Breeding Technology and Core Germplasm Creation and Application of Chinese Pig Breeds" led by the team of Huang Lusheng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and party secretary of Jiangxi Agricultural University, and the team of Professor Zhu Li from Sichuan Agricultural University, along with 28 national research institutes and leading enterprises including DEKON AGR, won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. This is the first time that China's pig breeding industry has won this award, and it is the only first prize in the field of agriculture in this session of national science and technology progress awards, marking the official transition of China's pig industry from "scale expansion" to "core technology-driven" stage. DEKON AGR, by cooperating with Sichuan Agricultural University and other research institutes, has built a "autonomous breeding chip + digital platform + cooperative farming model", successfully converting technological breakthroughs into cost barriers and ecological advantages that are difficult to replicate. In June of this year, its pig farming complete cost remained at around 11.8 yuan/kg, maintaining the industry's top level in the period of widespread losses, demonstrating strong survival and development capabilities. Meanwhile, through continuous improvement of the core competitiveness of DEKON's pig germplasm brought by cooperation with Sichuan Agricultural University and others, as well as the continuous improvement of its independent and evolving breeding system, its support role for the breeding end will become increasingly prominent.
