The Hong Kong government has reappointed Professor Wong Kit-loong as the Chairman of the Energy Advisory Committee and announced the new list of members for the new term, which is for two years.

Secretary for the Environment and Ecology Xie Zhanhuan expressed gratitude to the outgoing Vice Chairman Dr. Wong Tin Cheung and six members (Dr. Ouyang Ziting, Chan Siu Hin, Choi Tim Wai, Sit Tsz Shan, Wong Wai Yee, and Yuen Mei Yee) for their past support and service; while welcoming seven new members (Cheung Suk Ming, Choi Siu Min, Kwok Ho Yee, Gu Xiao Nan, Li Hei Chi, Mui Hing Yiu, and Tang Ka Wing).
Xie Zhanhuan stated that under the excellent leadership of Professor Wong Kit Leung, the committee has provided valuable insights to the government on various energy matters in the past. He looks forward to working closely with the new committee to exchange views on issues such as energy supply and pricing, promotion of zero-carbon and renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy conservation, and to devise effective strategies together.
The Energy Advisory Committee is responsible for providing advice to the government on energy policies, including energy supply and demand, energy conservation and efficiency policies, and other related matters.

Professor Wong Kit Leung (Chairman), Chan Chuen Wai, Professor Cheung Chun Yu, Cheung Suk Ming, Choi Siu Min, Chu Ka Man, Fong Chung Lun, Hung Oi Sing Dr., Jen Ka Wai Dr., Kwan King Fai, Kwok Mei Hang, Kwok Ho Yee, Gu Xiao Nan, Liu Sheng Yang Professor, Li Hei Chi, Mui Hing Yiu, Tam Fung Yi Professor, Tang Ka Wing, Wong Man Sing Professor, as well as the Permanent Secretary for the Environment or his representative, and the Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services or his representative.
