HUA MEDICINE-B (02552) surged more than 10% in the last trading session. As of the time of writing, it has risen by 10.38% to HK$2.34 with a trading volume of HK$14.664 million. On the news front, on June 30th, Hua Leng Medicine announced that its novel global drug Glucokinase Activator (GKA) Dorzagliatin (Brand name in Macau: MYHOMSIS, Hua Ling Pian) has been approved for listing by the Macau Drug Regulatory Authority for the treatment of adult type 2 diabetes. With this approval, the product has now been listed in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau, making it the first domestically produced novel diabetes drug to be approved across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. The drug was approved for listing by the Chinese National Medical Products Administration in September 2022, entered the National Medical Insurance Catalog in 2024, and was approved for listing in Hong Kong in February 2026. On the other hand, Hua Leng Medicine announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Hua Leng Medicine Technology (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. has further deepened its cooperation with market expansion service provider Tai Chang Hua Jia Hong Kong. Through the integration of a wide distribution network, professional market expansion capabilities, and an end-to-end service model, Tai Chang Hua Jia's healthcare business will support Hua Leng Medicine in efficiently expanding in the Hong Kong market and accelerating the commercialization process of its products. Looking ahead, Hua Leng Medicine will use Macau as a strategic starting point to explore the registration and commercialization pathway in Portuguese-speaking countries, covering a large diabetic population in regions such as Brazil, and build a three-dimensional market coverage network rooted in China and targeting Southeast Asia and Portuguese-speaking countries.
