On July 2, the Hong Kong dollar interbank interest rates generally fell, with the one-month interbank offered rate related to mortgages reporting 2.7853%, down 15.446 basis points. The three-month interbank offered rate reflecting the cost of bank funds reported 2.91536%, down 5.143 basis points.
The overnight rate reported 2.58857%, down 125.167 basis points; the one-week interbank offered rate fell 40.75 basis points to 2.61893%, while the two-week rate fell 20.637 basis points to 2.68339%. For longer-term rates, the six-month interbank offered rate rose by 3.233 basis points to 3.16923%, while the one-year rate rose by 0.215 basis points to 3.45691%.
