On the news front, recently, according to a message from INNOVENT BIO's official WeChat account, the company and Eli Lilly jointly announced that they have reached the following cooperation agreement on the rights of Eli Lilly's CDK4&6 inhibitor Verzenio (abemaciclib tablets) in mainland China: INNOVENT BIO will be responsible for the import, sales, promotion, and distribution of Verzenio (abemaciclib tablets) in mainland China; Eli Lilly will continue to be responsible for the production, supply, and ongoing development of the product. INNOVENT BIO stated that the company has reached the eighth strategic cooperation with its partner Eli Lilly, and the cooperation products landed in the Chinese market have expanded to seven, making it the 19th product in INNOVENT BIO's product portfolio. Public information shows that Verzenio is an orally administered CDK4&6 selective inhibitor developed by Eli Lilly for the treatment of HR-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. It was approved for marketing in China in December 2020, and in 2021, it was included in the national medical insurance directory, becoming the first CDK4&6 inhibitor to be included in medical insurance in China. The successful re-registration in 2025 will achieve comprehensive coverage of early and advanced breast cancer indications.
