PANGAEA CONNECT (01473) announced that due to the rapid growth of the global AI market and strong demand for advanced optical connectivity solutions, the group has recently secured a large number of sales contracts, resulting in a total contract value exceeding $1 billion as of the date of this announcement. Most of these sales orders are from global manufacturers, the details of which have been disclosed in the latest business news announcement.
These sales contracts mainly involve 200Gb/s Indium Phosphide (InP) optical diodes. Their applications include 800G/1.6T transceivers for AI data centers and next-generation AI infrastructure. This increase in orders reflects the industry-leading global manufacturers' long-term confidence in the group's operational performance, technical capabilities, and product quality, thereby strengthening the group's market position.
This operational milestone is in line with the performance and strategic trends disclosed in the annual performance announcement. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, despite the increasingly differentiated market landscape, the company achieved a solid revenue growth of 4.8%, reaching HK$22.3 billion. Specifically, the group focuses on AI-related areas, such as optical diode products embedded in Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and industrial laser solutions with capacities of 1.6T and 3.2T, directly responding to the expanding trend of global AI data centers and driving demand for advanced optical connectivity and precision processing technologies.
The board believes that these sales contracts will solidify the group's position in the AI data center ecosystem, ensure high-growth revenue sources in the supply chain of global technology leaders, and drive continued commercial momentum through 2027, bringing long-term benefits. Looking ahead, the group will continue to focus on strengthening its strategic position in high-growth, AI-related areas, especially high-performance AI data infrastructure, advanced semiconductor laser processing, and early-stage WiFi 8 deployment. To effectively support this growth momentum and meet evolving market demands, the company will continue to optimize resource allocation in sales, engineering, finance, and logistics operations, thereby enhancing international brand recognition, driving technological advancement, and maximizing long-term investment returns for its shareholders.
