In order to thoroughly implement the decisions and arrangements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, accelerate the removal of unreasonable restrictions on automobile consumption, and expand automobile consumption throughout the entire chain, in accordance with the requirements of the "Notice of the Office of the Ministry of Commerce and 8 other departments on Carrying Out Pilot Projects for Reforming Automobile Consumption" (Commerce Office Letter [2025] No. 14), after the submission of applications from various regions, expert review and public announcement, 40 pilot cities for reforming automobile consumption have been determined and are now announced.
