KWOON CHUNG BUS (00306) has announced that the group expects to achieve a comprehensive profit before tax of approximately HK$290 million for the year ending March 31, 2026, compared to approximately HK$161 million for the year ending March 31, 2025. The increase in the aforementioned comprehensive profit before tax is mainly due to the solid overall performance of the group's various businesses this year, with significant revenue growth in both non-franchised bus services and franchised bus services. Benefiting from steady growth in cross-border bus and local bus service demand, as well as adjustments in franchised bus service fares and a recovery in passenger volume, the group's bus-related businesses have performed at their most ideal levels in recent years. The deepening integration of the Greater Bay Area further strengthens the business and tourism exchanges between Hong Kong and mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area, providing structural growth momentum for the group's overall business. However, fuel and labor costs remain high, especially with international fuel price fluctuations and geopolitical factors affecting local fuel prices, which reached a significant increase in March 2026. The group continues to optimize fleet deployment and schedule arrangements, and through improving operational efficiency and strengthening cost control, effectively maintains a stable level of operating profit for the overall business.
