During the 2026 Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the daily average number of inbound and outbound passengers at national ports is expected to reach 2.2 million, an increase of 11.7% compared to last year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday. The highest daily customs clearance volume is expected to exceed 2.35 million people. According to the National Immigration Administration's predictions, there will be a slight increase in inbound and outbound passenger flow at major airports. The daily average number of inbound and outbound passengers at international airports such as Shanghai Pudong, Beijing Capital, Guangzhou Baiyun, Shenzhen Baoan, Beijing Daxing, and Chengdu Tianfu are estimated to be 104,000, 52,000, 52,000, 21,000, 19,000, and 17,000 respectively. During the Dragon Boat Festival, the three regions of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau will host multiple dragon boat races and large-scale events, leading to an increase in cross-border tourism and visits to relatives. The border crossing traffic at adjacent land ports with Hong Kong and Macau is expected to significantly increase. The daily average number of inbound and outbound passengers at Zhuhai's Gongbei, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Qingmao, and Hengqin ports are expected to reach 370,000, 122,000, 115,000, and 105,000 respectively.
