The sales prices of newly built residential properties in third-tier cities decreased by 4.2% year-on-year, with the decline expanding by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous month. The year-on-year decline in the sales prices of second-hand residential properties in first-tier cities narrowed to 5.8% in May, with a decrease of 1.0 percentage points compared to the previous month. Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen experienced decreases of 6.5%, 4.3%, 7.0%, and 5.5%, respectively. The year-on-year decline in the sales prices of second-hand residential properties in second and third-tier cities narrowed by 0.2 and 0.1 percentage points, respectively.
