On June 1st, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television deployed a special campaign to crack down on harmful and vulgar content as well as infringement and piracy in micro dramas. The special campaign will last for two months, and will focus on cracking down on eight key issues such as harmful content involving children, soft pornographic content, flaunting wealth, distorted views on marriage and love, feudal remnants, violence and revenge, vulgar titles, infringement and piracy. It aims to regulate the creation and dissemination of micro dramas, and further create a clear and healthy development environment for the industry.
On June 1st, the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television deployed a special campaign to address harmful and vulgar content as well as copyright infringement and piracy in micro-dramas. The special campaign will last for 2 months, and will focus on addressing 8 key issues such as content harmful to children, soft pornography, flaunting wealth, distorted views on marriage, feudal superstitions, violence and revenge, vulgar titles, copyright infringement, and piracy in some micro-dramas. The aim is to regulate the creation and dissemination of micro-dramas and further promote a clean and healthy industry ecosystem. Officials from the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television stated that this special campaign is of great significance in creating a positive content ecosystem within the micro-drama industry. Provincial-level radio and television administrative authorities are required to fulfill their responsibilities and establish inspection and spot check mechanisms to monitor platforms and production organizations in their jurisdiction throughout the entire process. Relevant platforms and production organizations must take their responsibilities seriously, actively conduct comprehensive inspections, address any issues promptly, and take appropriate measures. In addition to the special campaign, efforts will also be made to enhance the quality of micro-drama creation through the "Five-One-Project" initiative. After the special campaign concludes, the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television will summarize experiences, carry out regular monitoring and supervision, formulate and improve regulations, and continue to promote a positive online audiovisual environment.
