Concept stocks in the field of optical communication are leading the gains. As of the time of publication, XIZHI TECH-P (01879) rose by 14.36% to HKD 693, YOFC (06869) rose by 7.73% to HKD 250.8, Hongteng Precision (06088) rose by 6.17% to HKD 9.63, and Cig Shanghai (06166) rose by 4.46% to HKD 140.5. In terms of news, according to official announcements from China Mobile Limited and Hengtong Optic-Electric, the world's first S+C+L tri-band (short wave + conventional communication wave + long wave) ultra-low loss multi-core optical cable line has been officially completed and opened in Qingdao, Shandong. Traditional optical fibers are limited by the number of cores and available bandwidth, with obvious bottlenecks in bandwidth and capacity. The new type of optical cable achieves "parallel transmission of three bands", equivalent to widening the high-speed information from a "double lane" to a "triple lane", increasing the bandwidth of a single core by nearly 50%, and the capacity of a single fiber reaching more than 5 times that of traditional optical fibers, fully meeting the future demand for AI computation and T-bit level ultra-fast transmission. In addition, Nvidia announced that Spectrum-X Ethernet Silicon Optical technology is now in full production. The new generation of Spectrum-X switches is constructed based on optical-electric integrated packaging technology (CPO), supporting the Vera Rubin platform for horizontal expansion in data centers and cross-regional deployment of AI factories. Compared to networks using traditional transceivers, Spectrum-X Ethernet Silicon Optical technology can achieve a 5x increase in energy efficiency, a 5x increase in AI uptime, and a 1.3x faster deployment time.
