Subsidiary of Shandong Huatai Paper Industry Shareholding (600308.SH) with an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons of high-yield, high-purity wood fiber supporting 45,000 tons of lignin project is undergoing trial operation.
Huatai Company (600308.SH) issued an announcement that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Rizhao Huatai Paper Co., Ltd., has been progressing in an orderly manner since the start of construction of the 150,000-ton high-yield unbleached pulp and 45,000-ton lignin complementary project in February 2025. As of now, the project has basically completed construction and equipment installation and debugging, and is ready for operation. Rizhao Huatai organized a coordinated trial run on May 28, 2026, and successfully conducted a trial production, officially entering the debugging and operation phase. Prior to this, the 150,000-ton high-transparency stretchable paper project in the 300,000-ton special pulp-paper integration project was successfully fed in one go in September 2025 and is currently in normal production operation with a good market response.
Shandong Huatai Paper Industry Shareholding (600308.SH) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Rizhao Huatai Paper Industry Co., Ltd., which has an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons of high-yield unbleached wood fiber, as well as 45,000 tons of lignin project, has been progressing smoothly since construction started in February 2025. As of now, the project has basically completed construction and equipment installation, and is ready for operation. Rizhao Huatai organized a joint commissioning test on May 28, 2026, and successfully completed its first trial production, officially entering the testing and operation phase.
Previously, the annual production capacity of 150,000 tons of high-transparency stretch paper in the 300,000 tons of specialty pulp and paper integration project was successfully commissioned in September 2025 and is now in normal production operation with positive market feedback.
The high-yield unbleached wood fiber is mainly used for the production of high-transparency stretch paper, food packaging paper, high-grade kraft paper, etc. It has advantages such as high strength, good air permeability, biodegradability, and replacing plastic with paper, and is widely used in the packaging fields of food, grain, chemical industry, and building materials. Lignin is mainly extracted from pulping black liquor and is a high value-added product that enables comprehensive resource utilization and resource recycling. It can be used in adhesive, asphalt modifier, environmental building materials, and bio-based materials sectors. After the completion of the project, it will further consolidate the company's leading position in the high value-added specialty packaging paper sector, and play an important role in improving the company's level of pulp and paper integration and profitability.
