The Hong Kong government appoints members of the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Authority effective from June 1st.
On May 29, the Hong Kong SAR Government announced the appointment of Chow Ho-ting, Wong Yik-kin, and Huo Qishan as new members of the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Authority, and re-appointed current member Yao Jianhua for a term of three years, effective from June 1, 2026.
On May 29, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced the appointment of Chau Ho-ting, Wong Yik-kan, and Law Kai-shan as new members of the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), and reappointed current member Yiu Kin-wah for a term of three years, effective from June 1, 2026.
Current members Chan Chung-ni, Chau Man-ling, and Wong Ming-fung, all senior barristers, will leave their positions on June 1, 2026. Secretary for Transport and Housing Chan Mei-bau sincerely thanked them for their valuable contributions to the development of AAHK and Hong Kong International Airport during their term.
According to the Airport Authority Ordinance, the Chairman and members of AAHK are appointed by the Chief Executive. The appointments are published in today's Government Gazette.
