On the news front, on May 27th, KB LAMINATES once again issued a price increase notice to customers: board material prices increased by 10%, and PP prices increased by 20%. Regarding the reason for the price increase, KB LAMINATES stated in the notice: "Due to the recent high copper prices, glass cloth prices continue to rise and supplies are becoming increasingly tight." The company will implement the new prices with immediate effect. It is reported that this is the fourth price increase by KB LAMINATES this year, with a cumulative increase of over 40%. According to Morgan Stanley's supply chain research, the PCB cost of the NVIDIA VR200 has increased by over 233% compared to the GB300. This will increase the total PCB consumption value to about $117,000, while the GB300 is only $35,000. This significant cost increase is driven by the increase in the number of PCBs, introducing new modules such as ConnectX modules and mid-board PCBs, and upgrades in the number of layers and copper clad laminate (CCL) grades of PCBs.
