On May 26th, the Ministry of Commerce released the investment cooperation situation of China in jointly building the "Belt and Road" countries from January to April 2026. From January to April, Chinese companies' non-financial direct investment in jointly building "Belt and Road" countries was 85.55 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 7% (equivalent to 12.35 billion US dollars, a decrease of 3.6%). In terms of overseas contracted projects, Chinese companies signed new contracts worth 497.3 billion yuan in jointly building "Belt and Road" countries, an increase of 6.8% year-on-year (equivalent to 71.79 billion US dollars, an increase of 10.7%); completed turnover was 318.72 billion yuan, an increase of 16% (equivalent to 46.01 billion US dollars, an increase of 20.3%).
