ISDN HOLDINGS (01656) announced on May 26, 2026 in Singapore that its subsidiary IDI Dynamics Pte Ltd (IDI Dynamics), in which the company holds a 66.5% stake, has launched a new generation of high-speed laser marking machine for semiconductor chip packaging. This product offers dual advantages: a 2.5 times increase in marking speed and a 22% reduction in footprint.
The IDI Laser marking machine has been officially launched in Asia through deployment in 6 OSAT units. Its advanced technology stems from the leading public research institutions in Singapore's industrial research field, as well as the 20 years of rich experience in providing automation engineering and systems for the semiconductor industry by ISDN Holdings.
In a one-on-one assessment against widely used industry configurations, the marking speed of the IDI Laser marking machine has been increased by up to 2.5 times, significantly improving the hourly output while also reducing cleanroom footprint by 22%. The performance improvement is based on benchmark tests conducted using representative OSAT substrate formats and standard marking content, with measured cycle times covering end-to-end processes including substrate handling.
By increasing marking speed and reducing footprint, the IDI Laser marking machine has achieved a 3.2 times increase in marking productivity per square foot. Given the dual factors of rapid growth in chip demand due to the proliferation of artificial intelligence and the soaring costs of building new cleanroom factories for producing advanced semiconductor chips, factory space has become a key issue facing the semiconductor industry.
Therefore, IDI has introduced a new generation of marking systems aimed at maximizing manufacturing productivity in existing precious cleanroom space.
Additionally, the laser marking platform also addresses the growing traceability demands in the automotive and industrial electronics sectors, where permanent laser marking is gradually becoming a mandatory requirement. Each system comes with a two-year software customization and support plan, covering factory automation integration, handling adaptation, and continuously evolving compliance coding.
Chris Chan, Executive Director of IDI Dynamics, said, "The development of this advanced IDI Laser marking machine was driven by feedback from our OSAT customers, as manufacturers are striving to maximize output in the smallest and most cost-effective footprint possible. Through the first batch of 6 devices, our new laser marking platform has realized this value proposition. We are pleased to be at the forefront, driving the next generation of advanced chip manufacturing in the global market."
Mr. Zhang Zijun, Executive Director and President of ISDN HOLDINGS Limited, added, "The IDI Laser marking solution demonstrates how ISDN integrates its 'full-stack' technology pathway and 30 years of deep expertise in serving the semiconductor industry to generate powerful synergies, bringing advanced technology to customers across Asia. The IDI Laser marking product combines cutting-edge research from top research institutions, decades of experience with semiconductors and OSAT customers by ISDN, and the focused and entrepreneurial team at subsidiary IDI Dynamics. With the urgent need in the industry to improve manufacturing productivity and address surging demand, this collaboration brings highly competitive innovation to the semiconductor market."
IDI Dynamics is a member of the extensive strategic solution system that ISDN is currently constructing and deploying in the semiconductor industry, covering everything from key components to complete systems, including products like the newly launched laser marking machine. In ISDN's current business landscape, semiconductor solutions are among the most prominent and fastest-growing business segments.
