Beijing Hotgen Biotech Co., Ltd. (688068.SH) announced that its subsidiary Beijing Shunjing Bio-pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Shunjing Medicine") has received acceptance notification from the National Medical Products Administration for the clinical trial application of the innovative drug SGC001 injection for the newly added indication of severe acute pancreatitis. According to the announcement, SGC001 is an emergency monoclonal antibody drug developed by the research team of Shunjing Medicine in collaboration with the Beijing Institute of Heart, Lung and Vascular Diseases, Capital Medical University. It is used for emergency treatment of patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) (the first indication being "anterior wall ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction"). The SGC001 targeted antibody developed by Shunjing Medicine in collaboration with the Beijing Institute of Heart, Lung and Vascular Diseases at Anzhen Hospital has received acceptance for the Investigational New Drug application for the new drug clinical trial of severe acute pancreatitis, marking a new stage of clinical development for this potentially First-in-Class (FIC) valuable drug after the first phase II clinical trial for the initial indication of acute heart attack.
