CHINA TRAVEL HK (00308) announced that the company plans to split Hong Kong and Macau tourism in physical distribution method and list Hong Kong and Macau tourism shares on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange independently through introduction method. The company has submitted a proposal for the split to the Stock Exchange in accordance with guidance No. 15 on proposed split, and the Stock Exchange has confirmed that the company can proceed with the proposed split. On May 20, 2026, Hong Kong and Macau Tourism submitted an application to the Stock Exchange for approval to list Hong Kong and Macau tourism shares on the main board of the Stock Exchange and for trading. This split does not involve new stock issuance, only physical distribution of shares to existing shareholders, and does not constitute a transaction under Chapter 14 of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. After the split, the listed company will retain its tourism scenic spots and related services; while Hong Kong and Macau tourism will take over passenger transportation, hotels, tourism documentation, and related services, focusing on the market in Hong Kong and Macau. The company stated that the split will help the two major sectors focus on their core businesses, improve operational efficiency, and each have independent financing platforms, making it easier for investors to accurately assess valuation, in line with the overall interests of the company and shareholders.
