Inner Mongolia Berun Chemical's holding subsidiary, the carbon recycling and comprehensive utilization project, has started the feeding trial operation.

Inner Mongolia Berun Chemical (000683.SZ) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Inner Mongolia Boyuan Yinggen Chemical Co., Ltd. (referred to as Yinggen Chemical), a subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Boyuan Yinggen Mining Co., Ltd. (referred to as Yinggen Mining), has recently started production of the 1.2 million tons/year soda ash project utilizing the carbon dioxide gas and alkali mother liquor generated during the production process of the Alxa Tamos Natural Alkali Utilization Project. The project is planned to incorporate carbon capture and utilization technology, along with wind power and solar power resources. The Alxa Tamos Natural Alkali Utilization Project of Yinggen Mining has a planned total capacity of 7.8 million tons/year of soda and 0.8 million tons/year of soda ash. The project is being constructed in two phases: The first phase has a capacity of 5 million tons/year of soda and 0.4 million tons/year of soda ash, which have achieved full production and met the required standards. The second phase will have a capacity of 2.8 million tons/year of soda, which has been optimized and is currently meeting the design requirements. The second phase will also include a capacity of 0.4 million tons/year for soda ash, which has recently started production. The successful commissioning of the soda ash unit for the carbon capture project, the full production of the second phase soda production line, and the expansion of the natural alkali business will further strengthen the company's position in the natural alkali industry and increase market share.
