On Friday, NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) fell more than 4%, closing at $225.71. On the fundamental side, some analysts believe that after NVIDIA Corporation and other AI leading companies led the US stock market to refresh its records, the US Treasury yields and Japanese government bond yields have once again significantly increased in tandem, forcing investors to reevaluate the valuation levels of risk assets. The 30-year US Treasury yield surpassed 5.1%, while the Japanese 10-year government bond yield also rose to multi-year highs. Surging yields often pose the biggest threat to growth stocks with high valuations, as most of their cash flows occur in the distant future and an increase in discount rates will significantly lower their present value.
