On Monday, AST SpaceMobile (ASTS.US) opened with a drop of over 10%, at $76.79. On the news front, Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin's "New Glenn" rocket failed to deliver the satellites manufactured by the company into the intended orbit. Blue Origin carried out the third mission of the "New Glenn" rocket on Sunday and successfully reused the booster for the first time, but the payload did not reach the planned orbit. In a social media post, Blue Origin stated that although the satellite had separated from the second stage of the "New Glenn" rocket, it entered an "anomalous orbit." In response to the launch, AST SpaceMobile said, "Due to the low orbit height, the satellite cannot maintain its operation using onboard thrusters, and will undergo orbital correction." It is expected that the cost of the satellite will be recovered through the company's insurance policy. It is worth noting that this setback may complicate Blue Origin's efforts to position "New Glenn" as a strong competitor to SpaceX's "Falcon 9". The heavy-lift rocket has faced delays for years and its launch schedule is slower than expected.
