The new car is positioned as a "technological luxury flagship SUV", with flagship-level aesthetics, comfort, endurance, intelligence, driving control, and safety, completely breaking the industry convention that "flagships are expensive", and reshaping the value benchmark for full-size SUVs under 300,000 yuan.
The new car offers two power options - pure electric and range-extended, as well as six-seater and seven-seater versions to meet diverse user needs. Among them, the range-extended version has two versions: the 400 Luxury version with six seats, priced at 219,800 yuan, and the 500 Intelligent Drive version with six/seven seats, priced at 239,800 yuan. The pure electric version has three versions: the 620 Intelligent Drive version with six seats, priced at 239,800 yuan, the 720 Smart Luxury version with six/seven seats, priced at 249,800 yuan, and the 680 triple-motor performance version with six seats, priced at 269,800 yuan.
In fact, on March 26th, Leapmotor officially released the first global model of the new A platform - the Leapmotor A10, with a launch price of 65,800-86,800 yuan, reshaping the value standard for pure electric SUVs under 100,000 yuan. With high cost-performance and good but not expensive products, the model sold over 30,000 units in 20 days after launch, continuing the trend of the C-series and B-series becoming instant hits upon release. The launch of the D19 model this time is also remarkable in terms of product strength.
In terms of power systems, the Leapmotor D19 offers range-extended and pure electric dual power options, using top-notch global battery technology and high-voltage architecture to thoroughly solve user endurance issues.
The range-extended version is equipped with an 80.3kWh range-extended exclusive battery, supported by Contemporary Amperex Technology's lithium iron phosphate battery cell, with a range of up to 500km in pure electric mode. For daily commuting, the pure electric range is sufficient, and long-distance trips are worry-free. In addition, the new car has the industry's first range-extended CTC battery chassis integration technology, paired with an 800V high-voltage fast charging system, with a 30%-80% charge taking only about 15 minutes. The world's first drive-generator integrated four-wheel-drive range-extended system was jointly developed with ZF, with intelligent switching between front-wheel-drive and generator drive, reducing system weight by 50% and volume by 30%, while also balancing efficient power generation and strong power output.
The pure electric version is equipped with a 115kWh Contemporary Amperex Technology super-mixed battery cell, with high energy, safety, and longevity characteristics that break the "impossible triangle" of batteries, with a range of up to 720km. The full-stack 1000V high-voltage architecture enables charging for 15 minutes to add over 350km of range, with power loss of only 10% at -7C, and the ability to deliver 504kW of power with 10% remaining battery capacity. Additionally, the D19 uses a 34-in-1 super-integrated thermal management system, simplifying the system and saving 30% of the vehicle layout space.
In terms of intelligent driving, Leapmotor D19 is the first in the industry to feature the double-high Tegra 8797 central domain control chip, with 1280TOPS computing power, creating a super-cooperative cockpit system.
The D19 is equipped with a VLA large model and 28 high-precision sensing hardware (including lidar), with 44 auxiliary driving functions to achieve full-scenario navigation assistance from parking spot to parking spot, as well as defensive driving capabilities for situations such as abnormal deceleration of nearby vehicles, merging into the main road blind spots, night-time narrow roads, and construction obstacles, the system can identify potential risks in advance. In addition, the cabin features a side-full-mode AI large model, evolving from "obey commands to do things" to "actively anticipating your needs", acting as a more understanding "AI family assistant".
It is worth mentioning that the D19 chassis architecture is 100% self-developed, with front double wishbones and rear five-link independent suspension, and the LMC 2.0 chassis motion fusion control system gives the D19 "wisdom". The "active pre-scanning magic carpet" function can scan the road ahead and adjust the suspension in advance to improve comfort. The new car is also equipped with Huanghe dual-chamber closed air suspension, Dongji continuous variable damping shock absorbers, Bosch Huayu R-EPS steering, Eomwee (formerly Continental) MKC2 line control brakes, four-piston front fixed calipers, and Michelin high-performance tires, with hardware specifications comparable to million-dollar luxury cars.
In terms of safety, safety is the cornerstone of Leapmotor D19, developed strictly according to the C-NCAP and C-IASI safety standards, creating a comprehensive protection fortress.
The D19 features a "nine-horizontal-three-vertical-four-strong-ring" cage body design, with high-strength steel and aluminum alloy accounting for up to 83%, and 2000Mpa hot-formed steel applied in 16 key areas such as the A-pillar, creating "armored-class" passive protection. Leading the industry in 9 airbag configurations, all models come standard with a true piercing curtain over 2.8 meters, extending from the A-pillar to the D-pillar to ensure equal safety for every passenger.
In addition, the battery features a ten-layer aerospace-grade protection system, with a maximum temperature tolerance exceeding 1300C, meeting the standard of not catching fire or exploding for 72 hours after a thermal runaway, surpassing the 2026 new national standard. The AI BMS adaptive battery management system has an accuracy rate of up to 99.8% in early warning, alerting over 30 days in advance, effectively stifling risks at an early stage. On the active safety front, the D19 features the active AEB emergency braking assistance system, active AES emergency evasion system with wide-ranging functions, and innovatively incorporating AI adaptive driving modes, enabling the system to switch power modes within 500 milliseconds based on road conditions, ensuring rapid response in critical moments, and providing key redundancy for safe evasion.
In summary, since its establishment, LEAPMOTOR has been adhering to full-domain independent research and development, with over 65% of core components being self-developed and manufactured, breaking the industry's premium rule with deep technological expertise. With hardcore technology as the foundation, the Leapmotor D19, with a million-level experience and multiple original technologies, creates the "top configuration in the top configuration, flagship in the flagship", reshaping the industry's flagship SUV standards and potentially opening up market space in the "under 300,000 yuan price range".
The full-domain independent research and development drive cost reduction, allowing the company to achieve balanced profitability from CKH HOLDINGS. By 2025, the company's sales volume and revenue are expected to double, with a net profit of 540 million yuan for the year, achieving annual profitability for the first time, and becoming the second new energy vehicle brand in the industry to achieve profitability.
