In the first quarter of this year, the railway department continued to deepen domestic and international coordination and cooperation, strengthen the organization of China-Europe freight trains, improve the quality and efficiency of cross-border logistics services. The China-Europe freight trains have operated a total of 5460 trains and transported 546,000 containers, an increase of 29% and 22% respectively compared to the same period last year, showing a good trend of both quantity and quality.
On April 16, the Chinese railway department stated that in the first quarter of this year, the railway sector continued to deepen domestic and international coordination and cooperation, strengthened the organization of China-Europe freight trains, improved the quality and efficiency of cross-border logistics services, and the China-Europe freight trains operated a total of 5,460 trains, sending 546,000 TEUs of goods, an increase of 29% and 22% respectively compared to the same period last year. The China-Europe freight train market has shown a good trend of increasing both quantity and quality, with the international logistics brand competitiveness of the China-Europe freight trains continuing to rise, injecting new vitality into China-Europe trade and the economic and social development along the routes.
