On April 16th, the Hong Kong dollar interbank rates rose across the board, with the one-month interbank rate related to property lending increasing by 4.922 basis points to 2.34571%, reflecting a rise in banks' funding costs. The three-month interbank rate, which also reflects banks' funding costs, increased by 2.791 basis points to 2.47583%.
The overnight interbank rate rose by 34.012 basis points to 2.62488%, while the one-week interbank rate increased by 8.964 basis points to 2.39268%. The two-week interbank rate rose by 11.167 basis points to 2.39268%.
In terms of longer-term rates, the six-month interbank rate decreased by 0.512 basis points to 2.69446%, while the one-year interbank rate fell by 2.298 basis points to 3.00619%.
