In March, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 4.1616 trillion yuan, an increase of 1.7% year-on-year.
According to the data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in March, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 4.1616 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%. Among them, the retail sales of consumer goods excluding automobiles reached 3.7875 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.2%. From January to March, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 12.7695 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%. Among them, the retail sales of consumer goods excluding automobiles reached 11.7727 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.6%.
By location of operation units, in March, urban retail sales of consumer goods reached 3.6125 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.5%; rural retail sales of consumer goods reached 549.1 billion yuan, an increase of 2.7%. From January to March, urban retail sales of consumer goods reached 11.0574 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.3%; rural retail sales of consumer goods reached 1.7121 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.1%.
By consumption type, in March, the retail sales of goods reached 3.7257 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.5%; catering revenue reached 435.9 billion yuan, an increase of 2.9%. From January to March, the retail sales of goods reached 11.3072 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.2%; catering revenue reached 1.4623 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.2%.
By retail format, from January to March, the retail sales of convenience stores, supermarkets, and specialty stores among the retail units above the quota increased by 8.3%, 5.1%, and 0.5% respectively; while the retail sales of department stores and brand specialty stores decreased by 0.1% and 4.2% respectively.
From January to March, the total online retail sales of goods and services nationwide reached 4.9774 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.0%. Among them, the online retail sales of goods reached 3.1614 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.5%, accounting for 24.8% of the total retail sales of consumer goods; within the online retail sales of goods, food, clothing, and daily necessities respectively increased by 17.2%, 11.6%, and 3.6%. The online retail sales of services reached 1.816 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.8%.
