In March, the processing volume of crude oil in industrial enterprises above designated size was 61.67 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.2%; with a daily processing volume of 1.989 million tons.

Energy Production Situation in March 2026
In March, the production scale of raw coal in industrial enterprises above designated size remained stable, crude oil production continued to grow, natural gas production increased, and electricity production grew steadily.
I. Production of Raw Coal, Crude Oil, and Natural Gas and Related Conditions
Raw coal production scale remained stable. In March, the output of raw coal in industrial enterprises above designated size was 440 million tons, unchanged from the previous year; with a daily output of 14.21 million tons.
From January to March, the output of raw coal in industrial enterprises above designated size was 1.20 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.1%.
Crude oil production continued to grow. In March, the output of crude oil in industrial enterprises above designated size was 19.07 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.2%; with a daily output of 615,000 tons.
From January to March, the output of crude oil in industrial enterprises above designated size was 54.80 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%.
Crude oil processing showed a decrease after an increase. In March, the processing volume of crude oil in industrial enterprises above designated size was 61.67 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.2%; with a daily processing volume of 1.989 million tons.
From January to March, the processing volume of crude oil in industrial enterprises above designated size was 184.31 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%.
Natural gas production increased. In March, the output of natural gas in industrial enterprises above designated size was 23.4 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 3.0%, with an increase of 0.1 percentage points compared to January and February; with a daily output of 750 million cubic meters.
From January to March, the output of natural gas in industrial enterprises above designated size was 68.1 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 3.0%.
II. Electricity Production Situation
Electricity production in industrial enterprises above designated size grew steadily. In March, the electricity generation in industrial enterprises above designated size was 802.5 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 1.4%, a decrease of 2.7 percentage points compared to January and February; with a daily generation of 25.89 billion kilowatt-hours. From January to March, the electricity generation in industrial enterprises above designated size was 237.82 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 3.4%.
By variety, in March, the growth rate of thermal power, hydropower, CECEP Solar Energy power generation in industrial enterprises above designated size increased, while nuclear power and wind power showed a decrease. Among them, the year-on-year growth rate of thermal power in industrial enterprises above designated size was 4.2%, an increase of 0.9 percentage points compared to January and February; the growth rate of hydropower in industrial enterprises above designated size was 10.8%, an increase of 4.0 percentage points; the decrease in nuclear power in industrial enterprises above designated size was 11.8%, compared to an increase of 0.8% in January and February; the decrease in wind power in industrial enterprises above designated size was 17.3%, compared to an increase of 5.3% in January and February; the growth rate of CECEP Solar Energy power generation in industrial enterprises above designated size was 10.0%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points compared to January and February.
