In terms of news, CoreWeave announced a multi-year data center leasing agreement with artificial intelligence (AI) startup Anthropic PBC. In a statement, CoreWeave stated that the agreement will assist Anthropic in building and deploying their Claude AI model. This collaboration will gradually launch computing resources later this year and is expected to further expand in the future. CEO Michael Intrator of CoreWeave stated in the announcement, "The focus of AI is no longer just infrastructure, but how to translate models into tangible value through platforms. We are pleased to collaborate with Anthropic, at the forefront of model application and performance in production environments."
It is worth noting that this announcement is the latest development in a busy week for CoreWeave. The company announced on Thursday a $21 billion expansion agreement with Meta Platforms (META.US) and issued two bonds. Intrator stated that with this agreement with Anthropic, nine out of the top AI model providers are now using CoreWeave's cloud platform.
